How do I scan a book?

Tap the + button in your library and point your camera at the ISBN barcode on the back of your book. The app will automatically recognize the barcode and fetch the book information.

What if the barcode doesn't scan?

Try the Manual Search option from the + menu. You can search by title or author to find your book. Make sure you're scanning the ISBN barcode (usually a 13-digit number) and there's good lighting.

How do I enable iCloud sync?

iCloud sync is a Pro feature. Go to Settings → Sync → Enable iCloud Sync. Make sure you're signed in to iCloud on all your devices with the same Apple ID.

How do I backup my library?

Go to Settings → Library Management → Quick Export (JSON). This creates a backup file you can save to Files, email to yourself, or store in cloud storage.

How do I restore from a backup?

Go to Settings → Library Management → Import Library (JSON). Select your backup file and choose whether to merge with your current library or replace it.

Can I add a book without an ISBN?

Yes! Use Manual Search to find the book, or you can create a custom entry by editing a book's details after adding it.

How do I change a book cover?

Long-press on any book cover to take a new photo, choose from your photo library, or paste an image from your clipboard.

How do I delete all my data?

Go to Settings → Reset section. You can either "Clear All Books" (keeps collections and settings) or "Reset Everything" (complete reset). Both require confirmation.

Is my data private?

Yes! All your data is stored locally on your device. If you use iCloud sync, it's stored in your private iCloud account. We never see or access your data. See our Privacy Policy for details.
